David Zalkaliani spoke over the phone with the Japanese Ambassador to Georgia
A telephone conversation was held between the Georgian Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani, and the Japanese Ambassador, Tadaharu Uehara, on November 11th, regarding the termination of the postage of the latter to Georgia.
During the beginning of the conversation David Zalkaliani thanked the Ambassador for all the efforts exerted during his tenure, underscoring his particular role in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Additionally, the Minister expressed his gratitude towards the Japanese government, concerning the financial and humanitarian support provided by Japan to Georgia during the Pandemic.
The parties, once again, discussed the wide plethora of themes relevant to the above-mentioned bilateral relations including; economic, cultural, humanitarian, as well as other dimensions. It was noted with satisfaction that Georgian-Japanese relations are growing with dynamic development in terms of both bilateral and multilateral formats. The positive role of Japan in stimulating Georgia’s economy, as a significant trading partner, was also noted.
In turn, the Japanese Ambassador thanked the Minister for fruitful cooperation, noting that he will continue to be a supporter of Georgia, trying to contribute his share in the process of further cooperation between the two states.
David Zalkaliani wished Tadaharu Uehara success in his future endeavours.
